My name is Charles Blachly and I am a 19 year old student from Jonesboro, Arkansas.  I am approximately 5 feet and 11 inches tall (~1.80 meters for the other 90% of the world), have dark brown hair and green eyes.  I enjoy socialization, but also sometimes prefer to be by myself.  I like to think of myself as a fairly well-rounded person.

In 2000, I graduated Suma Cum Laude from Jonesboro High School.  In the fall of 2000, I entered the University of Central Arkansas in Conway, Arkansas as a freshman.  There I am pursuing a Music and Mathematics double major as well as an Honors minor.

I am a baptized Christian and have been for the past eight years.  I am a member of the Southwest Church of Christ here in Jonesboro.

I aspire to be a music theory professor. Right now, I would like to go to graduate school at Northwestern University for a Masters and Ph.D. in Music Theory.

Although I am keenly interested in mathematics, I also am involved with the arts.  I love the visual arts, but it seems like I can hardly find time to do so these days.  My favorite medium is watercolor.

I not only enjoy painting and sculpting, but I also love photography as an artform.  You can find some of my photographs on my art page.

I'm also a bit of a computer geek.  I like 3D-modelling and know (minimal) C++.  Eventually, I'd like to write games and/or music software.

My primary interest, however, is music.  I play the tuba, piano, and I sing Bass.  I love music theory and am interested in nearly all genres of music, but my favorites are romantic music and progressive trance. But I do enjoy listening to and playing all types of music).

Finally, I like to blend my love of music with my love of technology.  I own a Yamaha CS6x.  My favorite website (I visit it several times every day) is The Vintage Synth Explorer. I absolutely love vintage- and virtual-analog and -FM synthesizers.
